Blackcliff, Val d’Or
In november of 2007, C2C has signed, conjointly with Animiki Mining Corporation Ltd., an option agreement to purchase as equal partners, a 100% interest in the Blackcliff property, located in Malartic Township, Quebec. The Property is presently owned by Globex Mining Enterprises Inc. and Altai Resources Inc.
The Blackcliff property is located to the South of the central part of the Abitibi metavolcanic diorite belt, about 1 km north of the Kewagama property. The Property consists of three mining claims.
According to information released on the Altai website, fourteen gold zones have been discovered on the Property, several of which are discontinuous lenses along the same horizon. Ten zones are considered important.
C2C and its partner Corporation Minière Animiki Ltd. completed realize 35 drill holes for a total of 4,055 meters on the Blackcliff property located north-east of the town of Malartic, within the Val-d’Or mining camp. This drill program was in large part designed to better define the near surface expression of the # 2 vein gold zone where historical resources totaling 222,433 tonnes grading 7.06 g/t Au were reported in 1988 (not compliant with NI 43-101).
Numerous drill holes revealed mineralized intersections with significant grades and/or thicknesses up to 5,89 g/t Au over 7,4 m in the #2 vein zone of the property. This data will be integrated into the previous database and the whole Blackcliff property and its resources will be evaluated in compliance with NI 43-101. This evaluation’s conclusions will dictate the next exploration program to be carried over the next few months.
